AI features
What Webull's own AI does
Webull ships an in-app assistant and lets outside assistants into Webull accounts. Each works on Webull alone.
Vega AI
Webull's own assistant: market recaps, options activity, a review of returns by position and sector, and plain-English order tickets to review.
ChatGPT, Claude and Grok
Connectors that link a Webull account to outside assistants, which can then read balances, positions, watchlists and open orders.
Cloud MCP
A Webull-hosted server for Claude, Perplexity and Grok, for eligible US users. Each trade needs its own confirmation. ChatGPT is pending.
Where Walnut fits
Webull's tools see Webull. Walnut reads it next to Fidelity, Robinhood or any other broker you connect, puts every holding against the S&P 500, and places the buys you approve back at Webull.

Everything else people ask about Webull, answered plainly.
Short answer
It can be, for buying US stocks and ETFs cheaply. Webull charges no commission on US stocks, ETFs and options, has no deposit minimum, and sells fractional shares from $5. Its app is built around charts and options, so it reads busier than a beginner app.
The depth is the point for active traders: charts, options data and an order book sit on the first screens. For someone buying a few ETFs a month, most of that is noise, and options sit close enough to stocks to take on risk by accident.
What Webull shows less of is the portfolio as a whole. Vega can break down returns by position and sector, but only for Webull. If you also hold a 401(k) or a Robinhood account, the full picture lives somewhere else.

Webull Financial is a FINRA member and SIPC member, so securities are protected up to $500,000 per account, including $250,000 for cash, if the firm fails. It also carries excess coverage through Lloyd's of London. Neither covers market losses.
Webull Canada is a separate firm, Webull Securities (Canada), regulated by CIRO and a member of CIPF. Connecting either to Walnut uses Webull's own sign-in, so your password is entered at Webull and never seen by Walnut, and you can disconnect at any time.

Short answer
Yes. Webull announced ChatGPT, Claude and Grok connectors in August 2026. In September 2026 it said its hosted Cloud MCP works with Claude, Perplexity and Grok for eligible US users, with ChatGPT pending platform approval.
Those connectors see Webull and nothing else. Walnut connects Webull the same secure way, reads it next to your other brokers, frames each holding against the S&P 500, and can buy a basket built around an idea you hold, one previewed order at a time that you confirm.

Quick answers
- Does Webull charge fees?
- No commission on US stocks, ETFs and options. Some index options carry $0.50 a contract, and moving shares out of Webull costs $75.
- What is Webull Premium?
- A $3.99 a month plan ($40 a year) with a 3.5% IRA contribution match, a lower margin rate, extra APY on cash and Nasdaq Level 2 data.
- Is Webull Canada the same as Webull?
- No. Webull Securities (Canada) is a separate firm with TFSA and RRSP accounts. In Walnut it is its own connection.
- Can Walnut place trades at Webull?
- Yes, if your connection allows trading. Walnut previews each buy and sends only the ones you confirm to Webull, US or Canada.
- Does Walnut see my Webull password?
- No. You sign in at Webull, which gives Walnut access to your holdings and never your login.
- Is connecting Webull to Walnut free?
- Yes. Connecting is free, and so is the assistant up to a per-session allowance. Walnut Unlimited, $9.99 a month on the web, lifts that limit.
