How it works

From approval to filled shares

  1. You approve an order

Each stock in the basket becomes its own order.

  2. Your broker gets it

After the close, it waits for the next open.

  3. Walnut checks back

Several times each weekday, and when you open Orders.

  4. Filled shares land

The shares join the basket and you get a notification.

What you see

The statuses, straight from your broker.

Filled means your broker confirmed it or now shows the shares.

  • Filled

    Confirmed. The shares count.

VOO: $100.00, filled at the open

  • Pending

Sent, not confirmed. Counts for $0.

NVDA: placed 4:41pm, after the close

  • Rejected

Not placed. The reason shows below.

    Read-only connection, order not sent

  • Cancelled

Cancelled or expired at your broker.

AVGO: cancelled in the broker's app

Where do I see orders placed through Walnut?

Short answer

On the Orders page, newest first, with tabs for All, Pending and Filled. Each basket's Activity tab shows its own.

Invest dialog buys, assistant orders and recurring plans all land there. A rejected order shows its reason.

Why is my order still pending?

Short answer

It was probably placed after hours and waits for the next open. Until it fills, it counts for $0.

Refresh on a basket checks with your broker right away.

Public reports no order history, so a fill is confirmed when the shares appear. Robinhood confirms its own.
