AI features
What Citi's own AI does
Citi's AI is rolling out through Citi Wealth, starting with Citigold and Private Bank clients and their advisors.
Citi Sky
An AI assistant with voice and avatar chat, built with Google technology. It reaches US Citigold clients in phases, starting with CD maturity prompts and market views.
Portfolio Intelligence
A one-click view of holdings, performance and Citi's market insights. Live for Citi Private Bank clients in North America, with all Wealth clients planned by the end of 2026.
AskWealth
A generative AI assistant for Citi Wealth service teams and advisors, used to answer client questions and pull research. Clients do not use it directly.
Where Walnut fits
Citi's AI sees Citi, and most of it reaches Citigold and Private Bank clients first. Walnut reads a Self Invest account next to Fidelity, Robinhood or any other broker you connect, puts each holding against the S&P 500, and answers questions about all of it.

Everything else people ask about Citi Self Invest, answered plainly.
Short answer
Yes, for a Citi banking customer buying stocks and ETFs. Citi Self Invest has no account minimum and charges $0 commission on online and mobile stock and ETF trades, though leveraged and inverse ETFs are excluded from the free trades.
Self Invest is a narrower account than a dedicated broker's. Citi's fee schedule marks options trading as not applicable to Self Invest accounts, and representative-assisted trades are not offered on them, so it suits buying and holding stocks, ETFs and mutual funds online.
What Citi does not show is how the pieces fit. A Self Invest account, an IRA and anything held at another broker each report on their own, so a heavy tilt to one fund or one sector across them is easy to miss.

Citi's investment products are offered through Citigroup Global Markets Inc., a SIPC member, so securities are protected up to $500,000, including $250,000 for cash, if the firm fails. SIPC does not cover market losses, and investments are not FDIC insured.
Connecting Citi to Walnut uses a secure connection, and you sign in at Citi. Walnut never sees or stores the password, never holds or moves money, and you can disconnect from Walnut's Brokerage screen at any time.

Short answer
We found no official Citi connector for ChatGPT or Claude as of October 2026, and its own assistant, Citi Sky, is reaching Citigold clients first. Walnut links a Citi Self Invest account through a secure connection, read only, and its connector brings those holdings into Claude and ChatGPT.
Through Walnut the assistant sees your Citi stocks, ETFs and funds at live prices, next to anything you hold at other brokers. It reads and explains; orders for a Citi account are still placed at Citi.
